No two days are ever the same in the life of a Product Support Engineer and doubly so when you are also responsible for quoting and supporting custom optics. The PSE II – Solutions Engineer role allows me to branch out from the Edmund Optics catalog and talk to companies, both large and small, about their optical designs. Every day I have an opportunity to help customers better understand our manufacturing capabilities, with an emphasis on helping them design and specify optics that has the right balance between cost and performance. I love working out of our Tucson design center where decades worth of optical engineering and design experience is a short walk away. The close working nature between the sales and design team at Edmund Optics Tucson makes me a more rounded and better sales engineer.
