Enabling Cookies

A cookie is a small file generated by our website and saved by your web browser. Most web browsers allow you to view your cookies in the browser preferences, typically within the "Privacy" or "Security" tab. Some browsers allow you to delete specific cookies or even prevent cookies from being created. 

For instructions on how to enable your cookie settings to function with our website, choose your browser below:

Internet Explorer 11 +

  1. Select the Tools menu, and then click Internet Options.
  2. Click on the Privacy tab.
  3. Under Settings, select the Default button, or select Medium from the drop-down menu.
  4. Click OK.

Chrome Version 80.0 +

  1. Select the Chrome menu icon (the three vertical dots in the top right corner of the window).
  2. Select Settings.
  3. Click Privacy and security on the left menu.
  4. In the Privacy section, click Site settings.
  5. Click Cookies and site data.
  6. Select the Allow local data to be set (recommended) radial button
  7. Exit settings. Your preferences will automatically save.

Edge Version 44 +

  1. Click the Tools icon (three horiztonal dots) in the top right corner of the window.
  2. Click Settings.
  3. Click the Lock icon to access the Privacy & security section.
  4. Under the Cookies section, select Don't block cookies from the drop-down menu.
  5. Under Media licenses, click the radial button to select the option to Let sites save protected media licenses on my device.
  6. Exit settings. Your preferences will automatically save.

Firefox Version 73.0.1 +

  1. Select the Tools menu, and then click Options.
  2. Select Privacy & Security from the left menu.
  3. Under Cookies and Site Data, click the Manage Permissions... button.
  4. Add http://www.edmundoptics.com (or your country's appropriate domain, i.e., http://www.edmundoptics.co.uk, http://www.edmundoptics.jp, etc.) to the Address of website field and click Allow.
  5. Click Save Changes.

Safari

  1. Under Edit, select Preferences.
  2. Select the Privacytab.
  3. Under Block cookies, select the Always radial button.
  4. Then close the dialogue box.

Opera

  1. From the Opera menu, select Settings.
  2. Choose Privacy & security from the left-hand menu
  3. Under Cookies, select the Allow local data to be set (recommended) radial button.
  4. Then close the tab.
