Slow Axis Collimators Ideal for Use with Laser Bars

Greater than 99% transmission from 790 – 990nm

8/15/2014, Barrington, NJ USA   —

Edmund Optics® (EO), the premier provider of optical components, introduces new Slow Axis Collimators. They consist of a monolithic array of cylindrical lenses that are designed to collimate the individual emitters of a laser bar.

Low curvature deviation for increased collimation

Slow Axis Collimators feature a numerical aperture of 0.05, surface accuracy of λ/4 and low curvature deviation for increased collimation. Slow Axis Collimators feature a standard AR coating for 790-990nm and provide greater than 99% transmission to guarantee high performance with minimal loss of light. To meet the full range of unique customer collimation needs, Slow Axis Collimators may be used with Fast Axis Collimators to create custom collimation combinations that provide a wide range of solutions.

Available in 50μm, 100μm and 150μm sizes

Slow Axis Collimators measure 12mm long x 1.50mm high and are available in three models in 50μm, 100μm and 150μm sizes. All sizes have 500μm pitch. RoHS compliant Slow Axis Collimators are in-stock and available for immediate delivery for fast turnaround and excellent value.
