The 16X Precision Zoom Lens is a high quality modular video lens that provides high resolution and large depth of field. This lens' modular design offers configuration flexibility making it ideal for a broad range of applications. The available objectives allow for primary magnifications from 0.063X to 190X, and working distances from 370mm to 13mm.

A complete optical system requires the following components: C-Mount Coupler, Dovetail Tube, Upper Zoom Module, Lower Module and Objective Lens (Mitutoyo adapter available). The motorized upper zoom module includes the controller and necessary cables. Both the manual upper zoom module and the motorized upper zoom module have a manual iris. The 40" Flexible Fiber Optic Bundle is designed specifically to adapt to the coaxial illumination lower module. The fiber optic adapter allows the fiber optic bundle to be used with our Fiber Optic Illuminators (excluding the Mille Luce). An optional ring light adapter (#56-215) allows mounting of a Ring Light Guide (#54-173) to the lens.

Dovetail tubes are focusable to ensure parfocality. Max sensor format is ½" for 0.5X Dovetail Tube and ⅔" for 1.0X Dovetail Tube. 0.5X Dovetail Tube is not practical for use with Mitutoyo Objectives. Infinity corrected objectives limit system's usable zoom range. Usable zoom range is also reduced by using coaxial illumination with ⅔" format sensors.

Motorized Upper Zoom Module Package includes: motorized upper zoom module, stepping motor drive, Hall-Effect sensor junction box, AC adapter for driver, flat lens mounting plate, software disk, and all connecting cables. Driver has manual mode for separate speed and direction control of each motor or RS-232 mode with basic dual-motor software package (Windows® 95, 98, Me, NT or 2000 compatible) for home, limits, destination, and saved/current position (up to 5 each) control. All motorized components are CE marked. #57-825 230V power supply available separately.
