Brief Summary

Responsible for the selection and purchasing of required materials for the manufacturing plant. Areas include processing purchase orders, negotiating with suppliers, tracking orders, creating and maintaining inventory and liaising with stakeholders for aligned goals.

Job Description

• Research, select and purchase required materials
• Build positive relationships with suppliers and stakeholders
• Process requisitions and keep track of active status
• Update inventory and ensure that stock is kept and maintained at the defined levels
• Analyze market trends
• Coordination with various stakeholders from different factories/departments

Qualifications

• Possesses Diploma or Degree certification
• 5 to 10 years of working experience as a buyer in the manufacturing sector

Required Skills & Abilities

• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, priorities and resources to consistently deliver on-time results
• Ability to lead meetings and prepare presentations with internal and external stakeholders
• Good command of English language (Written and Spoken)
• Proficient in SAP and MS Office suites (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Power BI)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
• Experience with handling and cleaning of optical and metal components.
• Able to work in a manufacturing environment while adhering to safety protocols and proper use of PPE
• Patient and meticulous
• Ability to keep a positive attitude
• Steady hands
• Long time using magnifier or microscope.
